Chantry is in the centre of Wells, less than a minutes walk from the shops and cafes and only a couple of minutes walk away from the quay.

The Cottage is tucked away, just off of Staithe Street, down a quaint, gated path. The cottage is quiet and peaceful, and the enclosed, south-facing garden is a beautiful sun trap – perfect for relaxing in after a long day’s exploring of the area!

Wells is a small town with shops within a minute’s reach of Chantry.

There are grocers shops, a butchers, a greengrocers, a fishmonger, a bakers, delicatessens’, gift shops, clothes shops, a pharmacy, cafes, bars, restaurants, etc, and all small shops are run by local people and competitively priced. It is an agreeable change from super stores and supermarkets.

Parking

There is free parking close by on either The Butlands (1 minutes walk) or Clubbs Lane (less than 1 minutes walk).

If you are unable to find parking in either of these places then there are a number of car parks within the town.

The closest is 1 minute’s walk away at the bottom of Newgates Lane and Staithe Street and is a NNDC car park.. There is another NNDC larger car park in the town which is less than 4 minutes walk away from the cottage called Stearmans’s Yard on Freeman street

The car park on the Quay is owned by The Port of Wells. and parking is between 8am and midnight.  It takes less than 2 minutes to walk to the cottage from the quay.

There is also a carpark on the outskirts of the town which is owned by The Holkham Estate and it takes approximately 7 minutes to walk to this carpark from the cottage.
