The Cottage
The Chantry dates back to the 17th Century and has undergone extensive refurbishment to make it a comfortable cottage to stay in and has recently had the bathroom, shower room and kitchen refurbished to a high standard.
It retains many of the old beams and features that were previously part of the cottage. All rooms face south, overlooking a small enclosed private courtyard garden. It is secluded but less than a minute from shops and transport.
The Chantry is ideal for 2 families maximum 8 people plus a baby. The cottage has full gas central heating and water heating. Gas and electricity are included in the price. A travel cot and high chair are available.
We have 2 key safes in which you will be given your one time code, where you can collect and store the keys to the cottage. We will provide further information for them once you have booked your holiday!
The cottage has been awarded a Gold Standard 4 Star Rating again this year (hoorah!), which reflects the work and improvements we continue to do to The Chantry and for which we are very proud!

Dogs!
Normally, we welcome two dogs per booking, but are willing to discuss other pets. The Cottage is a wonderful space for our lovely four legged friends, however we do ask that doggos are kept downstairs, and to stay off the furniture (we know how difficult this can be sometimes!). If your gorgeous Pups need to do their business in the garden, please clean up after them.
Wells-Next-The-Sea is very dog friendly, with multiple Pubs and Restaurants that welcome man’s best friend, as well as offering fantastic walking routes near by. Please visit our blog for our favourite walks, and our favourite dog friendly eating establishments!
