Terms and Conditions
Reservations of accommodation are accepted by the Owners, Lindy Milton and Neil Jackson, on the following conditions.
- The Hiring Contract shall be between the Hirer and the Property Owners and shall be deemed to be made subject to these Conditions of Hire.
2. For bookings made more than 28 days before arrival, a deposit of ONE QUARTER is payable on booking, the balance being due 28 days before arrival.
3. For bookings made 28 days of less before arrival, the full amount is payable on booking.
4. Payment for deposit and balance can be made by BACs or cheque by arrangement.
5. Once a confirmation of booking has been issued by the Owners, the Hirer is responsible for the total cost of the holiday. Insurance cover is recommended and can be taken with an Insurance Company directly. Any cancellation through illness or death of the proposer or any of the name party would be covered by the policy.
6. Lettings generally start at 5.00pm on the day of arrival (usually a Saturday) and end at 9.00 am on the day of departure. These times have been changed to allow for Covid 19 in depth cleaning and will be reverted back once the pandemic has been declared over by the Government. Summer lettings are for a minimum of one week.
7. The Owner will not accept any responsibility for injury to guests or third parties or loss or damage to their belongings, car or it’s contents. Baggage is at Hirer’s risk at all times.
8. No more than the maximum of eight persons may occupy the property.
9. The Hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. Any damage caused or items missing by the Hirer will be the Hirer’s responsibility and will be charged for. Any damage caused must be reported before the end of the holiday. The reasonable costs of repairs to/replacement of/additional cleaning of furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glass, keys, bedding and towels damaged or soiled otherwise than by usual wear and tear during the period of Hire by the Hirer or other members of their party shall be payable on demand to the Owners. The Owners have the right to enter the property (without prior notice if this is not practical or possible) if special circustances or emergencies arise (for example if repairs need to be carried out). The Owner reserves the right to repossess The Chantry at any time where the Hirer or any member of their party has caused damage and in such circumstances the Owners shall not be liable to make a refund of any remaining portion of the hire terms paid. All equipment, cooker, utensils, etc, must be left in a clean condition and the property must also be left reasonably clean and tidy at the end of the hire.
10. Please ensure pets are up-to-date with their flea and worming treatments before bring them to The Chantry. Ensure they are not left unattended and that they sleep downstairs in the kitchen/dining room area in their own beds and are not allowed on the furniture. Please ensure any mess left in the garden by pets is disposes of in suitable bags and placed in the dustbin.
11. Your welcome letter which you will receive upon the receipt of your final balance payment forms part of our terms and conditions.
12. If your holiday has to be postponed due to local or national lockdown rules because of coronavirus or any other pandemic or disease your holiday will be transferred to a later date at no extra charge.
